Do you have experience leading bridge projects and a solid background in infrastructure? We are now looking for an experienced project manager for an exciting assignment – the repair of the Öland Bridge.

About the role

As a consultant at Billdals Konsult och Bygg, you will work as a project manager for an interesting project for one of Sweden's largest clients. The assignment covers the entire project lifecycle – from planning to execution and closure, including feedback on experiences. The project manager has overall responsibility for ensuring that the project adheres to the contract and reports internally on time, cost, and quality.

In addition to the technical responsibilities, an important part of the role is to manage external stakeholders such as:

✔ Municipalities

✔ Emergency services

✔ Police

✔ The public and media

Communication and collaboration are therefore a central part of the assignment.

We are looking for someone who:

✔ Has at least 3 years of work experience as a project manager in public roads, not older than 10 years.

✔ Has at least 4 years of work experience (as a project manager or in a supervisory role) from comparable assignments in the maintenance of road bridges.

✔ Has completed training to function as the client's construction site safety coordinator, BAS-P and BAS-U.

✔ Has good knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines in the field.

✔ Has experience working in project groups where coordination has been important.

✔ Has good leadership skills and is a skilled communicator.

✔ Has extensive practical experience in construction law (AB, ABT, and ABK).

✔ Has good technical knowledge of construction works.

✔ Has administrative skills and good computer proficiency.

✔ Holds a valid driver's license (B).

✔ Can express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing.

Job responsibilities:

✔ Lead the project from start to finish, including planning, execution, and closure.

✔ Ensure that contract requirements are met.

✔ Report the project's progress, deviations, and risks to the Transport Administration.

✔ Represent the client during the execution of contracts.

✔ Collaborate with stakeholders such as municipalities, emergency services, and police.

✔ Manage media and communicate the project's purpose and progress to the public.

✔ Keep a personal diary/log and document the project in relevant systems.

✔ Follow up and document the contract's economy, quality, and working environment.

✔ Participate in work preparations and be present at critical work moments.

✔ Participate in procurements, start-up, construction, and closing meetings as well as inspections.

✔ If necessary, work evenings, nights, or weekends during time-critical or traffic-sensitive moments.

✔ Assist in contact with authorities, designers, and property owners.

✔ Ensure that the contractor's self-checks are carried out according to the agreement.

✔ Follow up and manage deviations and ensure that working environment regulations are followed.

✔ Participate in risk management, quality work, and environmental work.
